There's also a work around to get the 32 bit program to use 4gb of ram when on a 64 bit computer with more than 6gb of memory. In other words, unless you're really scanning in big things at super high DPIs it won't make too much difference. CS3 will still see and use the files.Ħ4 bit just means that you can use more than 2gb of ram for that program. You can always just use Vuescan by itself without integrating with CS3. (standard license is only good to upgrade for a year)Īs for SHOULD you, that's up to you. If you have the standard license and you've saved a 32 bit version that you're allowed to use you can do that too. If you have the pro license you can download and use the 32 bit version if you'd like. However, I am also using Photoshop CS3 which is 32-bit and because VueScan integrates with this I am having I am wondering whether I can and should be using the 32-bit version of VueScan instead. I am using the 64-bit Version of VueScan on my Computer running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
